Fire Sprinkler Design Leeds
Our fire sprinkler system design process starts at our head office in Leeds, where we have our very own Armstrong Priestley in-house design department.
Armstrong Priestley has been in operation for over 40 years and we have accrued a wealth of experience in that time. We have thousands of projects under our belts and each one can contribute something unique to our database of designs, from which our designers can draw.
Our expert knowledge allows us to create and apply a wide range of system types:
The Armstrong Priestley design team are LPC and Firas accredited and well-versed in current industry regulations and standards, both British and international.
Our fire sprinklers are designed to each client’s exact requirements. You will be provided with a unique fire sprinkler system designed for your building and your building only.
Other services that we offer include:
We have designed fire sprinklers for all kinds of industrial and logistic warehouses, from automated storage to simple mezzanine extensions. No project is beyond us and we will accommodate both the safety of your staff and the preservation of your stock. We usually need to design a purpose-built pump and water tank to supply our sprinklers with water.
We work with specialist shop-fitters to design fire sprinklers for anything from single shop units to whole retail complexes like Trinity Shopping Centre and White Rose Centre, Leeds. Armstrong Priestley designers can create a sprinkler system that will blend seamlessly with your store’s design while maintaining the highest standards of fire safety.
We can draw up system designs for Leeds residents in the private sector. Whether you are looking to install sprinklers in your family home, an entire apartment complex, care home, or sheltered housing, Armstrong Priestley’s residential department are the people to contact. Our residential team are there to support you through the design and installation process and can advise on the best type of sprinkler system for your building.
For over 20 years, Armstrong Priestley has been designing fire sprinkler systems for buildings in the education sector, such as schools, academies and universities. Our work as a contractor, facilitated in this sector by the M&E market, has given our designers access to 3D modelling technology, allowing them to better conceptualise the design of the client’s bespoke fire sprinkler system.
About Armstrong Priestley, Leeds
Armstrong Priestley was established in 1975 when Peter Armstrong and Ronnie Priestley teamed up to install a fire sprinkler system in a small shop in Huddersfield. Noticing a need for good quality fire sprinkler systems, they formed the company a year later out of a single room in Leeds. Armstrong Priestley grew steadily, employing more staff and relocating to larger premises, until the current head office was established in 2006.

Situated at the heart of the City of Leeds Metropolitan Borough, Leeds is the largest city in West Yorkshire. In the 13th century, the city was little more than a small manorial borough. By the 17th and 18th centuries, it had grown into a major wool manufacturer and trade centre. When the Industrial Revolution swept the country, Leeds prospered from the development of other industries, such as iron foundries, engineering works and printing presses.
Visitors of Leeds today will want to see the Victoria Gate shopping centre; a modernised Victorian arcade with a fabulous domed glass roof. Leeds Corn Exchange offers another fine example of a domed Victorian roof, and Leeds’ Grand Theatre is worth a trip simply because it is home to the only national opera company located outside of London. For history buffs, the UK’s official collection of historical arms and armour can be found in Leeds’ Royal Armouries Museum.
