Automatic fire suppression system for retail

Your fire safety system will use automatic sprinklers to detect and suppress fire.

The sprinkler heads contain heat-sensitive liquid within a glass phial. When the temperature around the phial increases beyond a specific level, the glass smashes, causing the dispersal of water mist or other fire suppression products from the pipes behind it.

Our sprinklers are fully automatic and do not require human activation.

Water-based fire suppression agents are popular, but we often supply gas-based fire suppression systems to our retail clients as gas doesn’t cause water damage to stock.

Our gas agents are non-toxic and colourless, so they are safe in occupied areas and will not impede the evacuation of employees and customers.

A recent fire suppression system project in the retail sector

One of our recent projects was the design and installation of a sprinkler system on two levels of a retail space in Milton Keynes, housing a Sports Direct store and a Matches fashion concession.

Our remit included installing a sprinkler system to provide adequate protection for employees and customers on both levels, as well as the connecting lift system. We had to take aesthetic considerations into account and spray-painted pipework to match the corporate style of each unit.
