Armstrong Priestley for the best quality fire sprinkler systems

Our business was first established in Leeds nearly fifty years ago. Since those early days, we have expanded our operations and now have busy offices in Manchester, South Shields, Maidstone in Kent, and West Yorkshire.

Our experience across all sectors will allow us to specify and install a suitable fire suppression system whether your building is residential and houses vulnerable people or you have commercial premises with server rooms to protect.

Our success is rooted in our vast experience, the excellence of our customer service and the high quality of our products, but our customers also benefit from our one-stop-shop approach.

We will assess your building or home and design, fabricate, and install a first-class fire sprinkler system that fits your needs and budget.

The Armstrong Priestley maintenance service will keep your sprinkler system ready for action at all times and protect against accidental activation.

How do fire sprinkler systems work?

Our sprinkler heads are activated when flames cause a rise in temperature in the surrounding air.

Each head contains a glass bulb of fire-suppressing water vapour or a gaseous agent stored under high pressure. When the heat rises, the glass bulb expands and shatters, dispersing the suppressing agent into the fire.

How we work with you to fit your fire sprinkler system

Initial assessment of your premises

Key to our service is our thorough assessment of your property to assess your fire protection needs.

This assessment will enable us to specify the required number and location of sprinkler heads. High-risk areas like kitchens, large open-plan spaces, or places where flammable liquids are used or stored may require more sprinkler heads.

We will also check which type of fire suppression agent is the most appropriate. Water mist systems are often used in residential properties but are not suitable to protect spaces with electrical equipment like server rooms or assets that can be adversely affected by water damage. We will suggest the best agent for your premises.

Water mist systems need a large volume of pressurised water to be effective, so we also need to assess the water supply and discuss alternatives if necessary.

Fire sprinklers must be checked and maintained regularly to ensure they are working correctly.

Poorly maintained sprinkler systems may not offer adequate protection in a fire and may be prone to accidental activation.

Our professional teams carry out inspections and maintenance quickly and efficiently to ensure minimum business interruption for commercial customers.
