Fire poses a significant threat to lives and property, so the fitting of effective fire suppression solutions is essential in both domestic and business premises.
Armstrong Priestley’s advanced fire suppression systems use automatic sprinklers and are suitable for both commercial and residential buildings. Fires can wreak havoc within minutes, but our sprinkler systems are designed to detect and extinguish flames swiftly, minimising damage and protecting lives.
Armstrong Priestley is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of fire suppression systems with satisfied customers across a range of sectors.
We design and manufacture bespoke sprinkler systems which use a variety of fire suppression materials. We can advise you on which is the appropriate system to protect your premises.
Water mist systems are a highly effective solution for combating fires, using fine droplets of water to suppress fires rapidly and efficiently. The fine mist effectively absorbs heat and suffocates the fire, preventing its spread and minimizing damage. Water mist systems are non-corrosive and suitable for a variety of premises, including those with occupants.
Water mist fire suppression systems require sufficient water supply from a tank or the mains at high pressure in order to work effectively.
Our inert gas fire suppression systems use a colourless, odourless gas that has a similar density to air and can be used in occupied areas. This solution does not impede speedy evacuation as visibility is unaffected. The gases used are naturally occurring and are not damaging to the environment.
Our chemical gas fire suppression systems are also suitable for occupied areas. The gases used are odourless, colourless and non-conductive. Many of our clients use chemical gas for fire protection as this system requires fewer sprinklers and the smallest amount of agent of all fire suppression products. There is no residue, meaning that clean-ups are fast, and clients can get back to business or daily life as quickly as possible.
Our chemical gas solution is environmentally friendly with a low global warming potential (ODP).
Automatic sprinklers that discharge carbon dioxide are not suitable for occupied areas but can be the ideal fire suppression solution for areas such as generator rooms or server hubs where water, in particular, would be damaging.
Carbon dioxide sprinklers can flood the area being threatened by fire and quickly suppress the blaze.
We also recommend a carbon dioxide suppression system to clients requiring “local application” in areas which are particularly at risk from fire. This includes machinery creating heat, like printing presses or hot work areas in which flames could get out of control, such as deep fat fryers.
Our aerosol-based fire suppression system uses the latest generation of FPC compounds containing mainly potassium salts combined with non-pyrotechnic materials.
Our experienced teams work nationwide to install our bespoke sprinkler systems.
Armstrong Priestley fire suppression systems comply with all the relevant British standards.
It is essential that your fire suppression system is regularly maintained to ensure that it will offer full protection of life and property when required. Even one underperforming sprinkler head could impair the ability of your suppression system to deal with a fire.
Our flexible servicing and maintenance packages are designed to minimise disruption whilst giving you peace of mind that both life and assets will be fully protected in the event of a fire.
