The Role

As a Small Works Fire Sprinkler Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately costing small-scale fire sprinkler projects. You will analyse customer specifications, identify discrepancies, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and within budget. Strong communication and attention to detail are key, as you will be a vital link between departments and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Estimation: Accurately assess costs for small works fire sprinkler projects and pursue leads and visit prospective customer sites for service and maintenance opportunities.
  • Specification Review: Interpret customer requirements and relevant design standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (Sales, Service, Contracts, and Design) to provide compliant solutions.
  • Drawing Interpretation: Confidently review and understand construction drawings.
  • Supplier Liaison: Work with suppliers and the purchasing department to ensure precise cost estimations.
  • Client Interaction: Maintain excellent customer service and visit clients as required.
  • Data Management: Keep project inquiries updated in company databases.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working within the fire sprinkler protection industry.
  • Experience with CAD (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong IT skills and attention to detail.
  • A team player with a flexible and collaborative approach.
  • A positive, confident, and friendly communicator.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
